Contemporary school combining in a single institutions two schools of different educational levels (college and secondary ones) emphasizes especially the practical character of professional training of the students, while putting an unambiguous stress on the development of their intellectual skills. It offers two types of professional forestry studies, i.e. technical line of education and college one.
The School admits primary school graduates, i.e. at the minimum age of 15 years, to the four-year secondary course. Since the school year 2006/07 the school offers the three-year training course in timber harvesting by chain saws and skidding by tractors to persons conserned in working jobs. The college course offers an alternative possibility for education of professional foresters at a more mature age. It is designed for secondary-school graduates who have passed their school-leaving examinations.
Constituent part of cooperation with University of Agriculture in Prague is establishing the consulting (tutorial) center for obtaining bachelor degrees in forestry.
